Welcome

I’m a psychoanalyst, a psychotherapist and a clinical psychologist, member of the International Psychoanalytical Association (I.P.A.).

I work in private practise in London. I’m also member of the British Psychoanalytic Council.

I see adults, adolescents and couples for psychotherapy (short and long term) and psychoanalysis.

Why Psychoanalysis

Sometimes we don’t feel that talking with friends or close relatives is useful enough to create a long lasting sense of relief to our psychic pain, our critical life period, or to discuss openly about our internal issue and feelings. It might be that we face a critical moment in our life, or that difficulties are recurrently coming back and make our daily and working life harder than ever.

This is why we may be looking for someone who is not part of our environment, a outsider/neutral person, who could give us some support and help us finding possible reasons to explain our state of mind and how those reflect in our daily life, somebody to discuss and understand rather than giving us advices and things to do. Staying to psychoanalytic theories, we are not always conscious of our inner motivations and desires as well as other emotions involved in our behaviour and in relation with the others.

In this sense, psychoanalysis is a specific option you may be interested in. It is a therapeutic method that arises from Freud’s work at the beginning of the past century and has now improved its characteristics and enlarged its range of possible application in more than 100 years of researches on theory and practice, clinically and scientifically based. One of the cornerstones of psychoanalytic treatment nowadays is the possibility of retrieving some degree of faith and hope in the capacity of patients to contain and to be helped to face severe anxieties and difficulties coming both from the outer and the inner world.
