Luisa Marino together with Maria Teresa Hooke presented their paper based on the data results of a two years research with the IPA Committee on psychoanalytical Prospective on Ageing. It deals with the theme of ageing and ageing in Contemporary Psychoanalytic Institutes and Societies. Specifically from the point of view of young analysts and their difficulties in finding their own space and creativity, struggling between tradition and contemporary cultural changes and deep needs. It touches the delicate issues of: growing older, peers to peers conflictuality, senior and younger collaboration vs opposition, the wisdom factor and the idea of the Institute as a retreat to avoid the external demanding task of facing reality and contemporary complexity.
